What is a pip?
Most pairs move in 0.0001 steps (one pip). JPY pairs use 0.01. Pip value tells you how much money one pip earns or loses.

Why lot size matters
A 1-pip move on 0.01 lots is tiny. On 2 standard lots it is 200× larger. Always know pip worth before adding size.

Account currency
The same EUR/USD pip pays different amounts in USD vs JPY accounts. Pick the currency you actually withdraw in.
