Choosing the Right Risk Tier on Qorix Markets — Conservative, Balanced, or Aggressive

Picking your risk tier is the single most consequential setting on the platform. It controls how aggressively the AI desks size positions, which assets get the largest weights, how much drawdown is tolerated before the auto-pause kicks in, and ultimately the shape of your equity curve. Pick well and the experience matches your sleep tolerance. Pick wrong and you will either be bored or stressed out — neither is the goal.
The honest one-line answer
If you do not know yet, start at Balanced. It is the median choice for a reason — most investors find the volatility tolerable and the returns meaningful. You can always step up or down a tier after 60 days of live observation.
Conservative — 4% per month target
Capital preservation comes first on Conservative. The allocation leans heavily on forex majors and gold — the two asset classes with the most stable historical volatility profile. The drawdown ceiling is the lowest of the three tiers, which means the engine pauses earliest if conditions deteriorate.
Who picks Conservative
- First-time investors who want to learn the workflow before scaling risk
- Anyone allocating money they would otherwise leave in a savings account
- Investors with a short-to-medium time horizon (under 12 months)
- Anyone who would lose sleep over a 5%+ peak-to-trough drawdown
Balanced — 6% per month target
The sweet spot for most users. Balanced spreads weight across forex, gold, indices, and crypto majors. The drawdown ceiling is moderate. The return profile is what most investors come to Qorix looking for — meaningful upside without the heart attacks of full-aggressive.
Who picks Balanced
- The default 'do not know yet' choice
- Investors with a 12-36 month horizon
- Anyone who can comfortably tolerate a 7-10% peak-to-trough drawdown
- Investors who want exposure to crypto upside without going all-in
Aggressive — 8% per month target
Highest weight to crypto and indices. Forex majors take a smaller slice. The drawdown ceiling is widest, meaning the engine permits a larger pullback before pausing — which is necessary to capture the upside that justifies the tier.
Who picks Aggressive
- Investors with a 36+ month horizon and steel nerves
- Anyone allocating money they explicitly classify as risk capital
- Investors who want maximum exposure to compounding crypto trends
- Experienced market participants who already know how a 15% drawdown feels
How to pick — three diagnostic questions
1. What is the worst single-month drawdown you could see without panicking?
Be honest. If your answer is under 5%, you are a Conservative investor. If it is 5-10%, you are Balanced. If it is 10%+ and you genuinely would not flinch, you are Aggressive. Most beginners overestimate their tolerance — when in doubt, step down a tier.
2. How long can this capital stay invested?
If you might need it within a year, choose Conservative. If your horizon is multiple years, you can afford the volatility of Balanced or Aggressive because you have time for compounding to dominate noise.
3. What is this money for?
Money earmarked for a specific near-term obligation should never sit on Aggressive. Money you are explicitly trying to grow over years can stomach a more volatile path.
Switching tiers — when and how
You can change tiers from your Invest settings at any time. The right cadence is at most once per 60 days, after a full observation cycle. Switching every two weeks chasing recent performance is the single most common amateur mistake on the platform — it almost always results in buying tiers right after their good runs and abandoning them right before their good runs.
Pick a tier you can hold through one full bad month. The right tier is the one you do not abandon at the wrong moment.
Pair your tier with the right reinvestment policy
The math gets very interesting when you combine tier choice with Auto-Compound. Read our compounding monthly returns guide to see exactly what each tier turns into over 1, 3, and 5 years when profits are reinvested.
